HTPC usually outputting 2 channel audio around HDMI

I ed this in the audio speculation territory but I think it might go here instead

I am outputting audio and video by HDMI from my ASRock motherboard LGA1156/Intel H55 by my Pinoneer VSX1020 AVR with 7.1 orator configuration.

The audio from my computer usually outputs to dual channels Aparate Foto best front L/R even when personification media that unequivocally should be personification from all channels.

When I see at Playback Devices and name the Pioneer AVR to see at the orator pattern I name 7.1 and run the orator test. The sounds that are ostensible to be entrance from the back and side channels fool around by the front speakers.

I"ve Googled the heck out of this and haven"t unequivocally been means to come up with much.

I think a motorist issue, maybe. I"ve downloaded the ultimate Realtek HD Audio motorist version 6.0.1.6383. Does this appear right? Running Windows 7 x86. Have the Shark007 codecs and ffdshow.

So a little questions.

1. Is the complaint expected to be at the computer or the receiver?
2. What are a little tests that I should perform / things I should be seeking at to assistance slight down the issue?

It only seems similar to there are so majority paths for troubleshooting and I wish to see that trail creates the majority clarity if no one has a solution.

Any assistance is severely appreciated.

The quoted content is the commencement of the problem. You have ffdshow installed, twice. The Shark007 codecs embody FFDshow. I indicate that you uninstall FFDshow and afterwards on the Help TAB of the Shark007 Settings Application, have use of the button, [Modify the codec installation], click Next, name Repair, and concede it to complete. After you do this, readon the Shark007 to support you in environment up audio on your PC.

Thanks for the reply.

I"m not at home but can have these changes by Remote Desktop to my computer. I patently can"t exam them, though, until I"m home after tonight.

In the Output territory of the ffdshow audio decoder configuration, should I Have anything checked for "Passthrough S/PDIF, HDMI"?I would theory I should.

Checking all the Audio options in "Passthrough S/PDIF, HDMI" seems to have finished the trick.Awesome!
